Can anyone answer this question about Leto and Ghanima from Frank Herbert's Dune?

It's a combination of Chani taking lots and lots of spice while she was pregnant, and the genetics they inherit from their parents, especially Paul, who, after all, was bred to be a male Bene Gesserit.
