Are there any good vampire or werewolf books?

I've always heard about vampires and werewolves and seen them in tv hows and cartoons but never read a book about them. Can anyone recommend some. No romance or anything that has to do with teenager stuff please. I prefer books that are in the adventure, action and fantasy category. I'm only 11 so nothing inappropriate like , although I don't mind murder and stuff as long as it's not really gory or anything. I read books for all age ranges so don't just recommend kids books but I dont mind if you do.
