What are some good books if I don't normally read that much?

I dont usually read alot...ok or at all but i kinda want to start because every time i find a book that i like to read i enjoy reading it. i liked the narnia books and i like the lord of the rings movies only read the hobbit tho. is there any good books to read that arent girly like twilight but kinda make you think like the movie erfly effect or mothman prophecies?
